IHSA ZONE 3 - REGION 4

Shea Murrell (on left) and Sarina Bowen of Rutgers University both qualified for Regionals in the advanced walk-trot-canter division during the 2010-11 season. The Scarlet Knights finished third in the Region 4 hunter seat team standings behind Lafayette College and Penn State - Berks, the latter of which will be in Zone 3, Region 2 starting this fall.

From Shickshinny, Pennsylvania, Katie Heller (pictured) was one of five Bloomsburg University western riders to qualify for Regionals. Heller qualified in open reining. Bloomsburg was third in the Region 4 western team standings behind West Virginia University and Kutztown University, the former of which will likely be riding western in Zone 6 starting this fall. As of 7/27/10 Campus Equestrian was trying to find out if Region 4 western teams will compete against those that are now part of the new Zone 3, Region 3 or if they will be an entity unto themselves in 2010-11.

Western Show Dates to come. Cedar Crest College will host a hunter seat show at Briarwood Farm on one of four dates: October 9th, October 10th, November 6th or November 7th. The Zone 3, Region 4 Alumni will host a hunter seat show on either November 6th or November 13th at Cornerstone Farm in Coopersburg, Pennsylvania. Show Schedule subject to change.
