From Gilbertsville, Pennsylvania, Delaware Valley University sophomore Alicia Smoot (pictured) was one of three Delaware Valley University riders to win a class at the September 27th Tournament of Champions invitational in Towson, Maryland. With one more blue ribbon than the University of Lynchburg the Aggies won a 39-39 tiebreaker to take the High Point Team ribbon back to Doylestown with them. Smoot has continued to impress since the regular season started. Smoot was second in novice equitation when Lehigh hosted on October 4th, first in the same division on October 11th when Lafayette hosted and first again when Alvernia hosted on October 25th to point out of novice and clinch a place at Regionals in the spring. The Aggies have won four of the first six Region 4 shows to open up a 18 point lead on Bloomsburg University through November 2nd. And through six fall Western shows Smoot has a nine point lead in the Zone 3 Western Open Rider Standings!
