History was made on September 30th when Taylor Suto (on right) become the first Alvernia University rider ever to compete when she showed in intermediate
fences and placed fifth. Head coach Eryn Ziegler (on left) saw Alvernia score 17 points in their IHSA debut, two more than defending region champion
Lafayette. Five shows later (at the same facility no less) Alvernia earned high point team honors with 30 points. Not bad for a school with only five
shows in program history thus far. Meanwhile Lafayette has faired much better since opening day and trails Rutgers by 17 points (the Leopards were behind
the Scarlet Knights by 15 after the first show).
