The March 29th Zone 1, Region 4 show co-hosted by Stonehill College and Wheaton College was the final regular season IHSA competition for Boston College senior open riders Eileen Walsh and Elizabeth "Whipflash" Penniman. Though she was already qualified for Regionals in both intermediate divisions, Walsh was best in a field of nine to win her final open flat class. From Burlingame, California, Brown University freshman Allegra Aron (second on left) won team intermediate equitation on the flat at 2008 IHSA Nationals at the Los Angeles Equestrian Center in Burbank, California on May 10th. Aron was the only rider who currently resides in the state of California to win a blue ribbon in any of the 30 English or Western undergraduate or alumni classes held at 2008 IHSA Nationals. Though Brown did not score any team points until Aron earned seven of them in the fifth of eight divisions, the Bears still went on to finish fifth overall with 14 points.
