Michigan State University had a pretty good day at Cedar Lodge Stables on October 25th. After trailing the
University of Michigan for most of the day the Spartans pulled ahead 34-31 at the end. Abby King (pictured),
a sophomore from Medway, Massachusetts won her open flat and was second in open fences to take the early lead
in the Region 4 hunter seat open rider standings. Michigan State teammates Lauren Chesla and Surya Ravi (the
latter making his IHSA debut) also recorded a first and a second to join King in a three-way ride-off for
high point rider. Ravi earned the reserve high point rider ribbon while King received high point rider honors.
