Seen here at the December 7, 2024 Holiday Tournament of Champions invitational in Blacksburg, Virginia, Natalie Nawa of Otterbein University had the honor of competing in back-to-back classes at 2025 IHSA Nationals. After placing second at Zone 6 Zones in the individual novice equitation division, Nawa was third in the same class at Nationals last May 2nd. Because the first hunter seat team class at Nationals was team limit flat, and because Nawa was chosen to compete for the team in that class, and because it fell right after individual novice equitation on the schedule Nawa had to ride one horse, dismount, receive her ribbon and then get right back on another. From Chicago, Illinois, Nawa finished the day and her junior year with a sixth in the team class. This season the Cardinals lead Region 2 by 67 points headed into the final two regular season shows hosted by Ohio State February 14th and 15th. Otterbein looks set to clinch their ninth consecutive hunter seat Region Title.
