2012 ZONE 6 ZONES RESULTS

Trailing only briefly by a point through three classes, defending Zone 6 Zones champion Miami University of Ohio went on to win by a healthy five point margin at the Derrickson Agricultural Complex on March 31st. The Red Hawks were led by junior Jamie Donovan, who won both team open classes. The University of Kentucky was once again the reserve champion. The Wildcats were able to dominate the red ribbons, earning five seconds over the first six team classes while winning team intermediate fences during that span. Riders from Region 2 were the most successful individually, earning top-two ribbons on seven occasions to advance to IHSA Nationals in the various individual classes. Alexandra Kemp-Thompson of Seton Hill University won both the individual open classes and turned out to be the only rider from Region 5 to advance through the Zones show to Nationals on an individual basis.
