University of Lynchburg associate head coach Adeline Callahan (on right) explained to us that if you go to Lynchburg Sports on your phone you can use the app to see the Team Standings and Open Rider Standings for Region 2 updated in real time during a Region 2 IHSA show! Way back on September 27th before the 2025-26 IHSA season began for the Hornets, Callahan posed for a photo with McKenzie Burch during the Pre-Season Tournament of Champions invitational in Towson, Maryland. A junior from Buena Vista, Virginia, Burch was third in limit fences that day to help Lynchburg score 39 points. Delaware Valley University also scored 39, resulting in a tie for high point team which went in favor of Del Val. But on February 28th when the show day was done there was no tie for the top spot. The Hornets officially clinched their second consecutive Region Title, finishing 45 points ahead of runner-up Virginia Tech for the season.
