Goucher beat them by a point on opening day. But on October 19th the University of Maryland (College Park) returned the favor. The Terps were 35-34 winners over the Gophers to snap the leading team's three show win streak to start the season. Vivian Payne of Maryland was high point rider while teammate Julie Anne Lynskey (on right, with head coach Ryan Carroll) was reserve high point rider. A sophomore from Deale, Maryland, Lynskey is seen here at the September 29th Goucher show after winning her novice class. Therefore only four shows later Lynskey was riding in both limit divisions and fairing very well indeed.
