The week ending March 9th was most auspicious for Kellen Sullivan of Goucher College (on left). Seen here with assistant coach Brittany Martin way back in Jaunary of 2022 (when mask rules were gradually being relaxed) the senior from Hampton, Virginia won all four open classes he competed in that calendar week to finish on top of the Region 1 open rider standings. Sullivan will face four other riders in the Cacchione Cup division at Zone 4 Zones on April 6th in Sweet Briar, Virginia with the top three advancing to IHSA Nationals in Tryon, North Carolina May 1st through 3rd. And Goucher will also field a full team at Zones where they need to make the top two to also advance to Tryon.
