April 7th was a roller coaster day at Zone 3 Zones for Penn State University. Senior Lauren Marchetti (on left) started the day by winning the Cacchione
Cup Class. Then head coach Kristin Gretok (on right) saw the Nittany Lions fall into fourth place (out of four schools) through three team
classes. However Penn State was only five points out at that time. It was not until after the seventh team class was pinned that the
Nittany Lions took the lead. When it was over Penn State won a tiebreaker for Zone Champion team with the University of Delaware at 39 points
each. After having placed last at 2023 Zones the Nittany Lions went from worst to first. Their next stop is Tryon, North Carolina where
15 other teams will compete with Penn State to be the best IHSA hunter seat team in the nation for the 2023-24 season May 3rd through 5th.
