After watching Ohio State win the first of two shows on September 21st, Wilmington College prevailed in the afternoon event and appeared to take a one point lead on
the Buckeyes prior to the next doubleheader on Novembeer 16th. The high point rider at both 9/21 shows was Maegan Pearson (on left, seen here at 2024
IHSA Nationals with coach Stephanie McConnell), a sophomore from Laurel, Indiana who finished the day with a perfect 28 points in the open divisions. It later
turned out that there was a scoring mistake that shorted Ohio State one point and when corrected the Buckeyes and the Quakers were tied at 54 for the day.
Though not yet listed here we have been informed that Wilmington won both of their home shows on November 16th while Pearson was Reserve High Point
Rider each time. Most importantly the Quakers opened up an eleven point lead on Ohio State, the latter of which has sent a full Western team to IHSA
Nationals every year since 1987.
