Addie Docherty of Long Island University (pictured) needed two points and received five in her limit over fences class on October 18th. This meant the senior from Sayville, Long Island has qualified for Regionals in the division. This was one of many highlights for the Sharks that day, with Madison Frankel earning high point rider honors (while taking a one-point lead in the Region 4 open rider standings) and Kathryn Gargiulo winning a three-way question-off for reserve high point rider being a few more. Long Island University prevailed 47-40 over host Sacred Heart to open up an eight point lead in the Region 4 team standings headed into the October 26th New York University/Hofstra show. Sacred Heart would prevail on the 26th by a 43-38 margin over both LIU and Fairfield University while LIU and Sacred Heart would tie for high point at 40-40 on November 1st to give the Sharks a three point lead on the Pioneers headed into the final fall show which LIU hosts at North Shore on November 9th.
