From Lake Forest, Illinois, Skidmore College captain Lillard Preschlack (on right) was one of five riders with a first and a second on November 22nd when the Thoroughbrds hosted the fifth and final fall Region 3 hunter seat show. This put Preschlack (and teammate Ian Gaudio, not pictured) into the ride-off for high point rider that day. Head coach Belinda Colgan (on left) saw her Thoroughbreds win for the fourth straight time, besting S.U.N.Y. - Cobleskill 40-36 to take an 18 point lead within the Region 3 hunter seat team standings. Skidmore has one more competition prior to the new calendar year, traveling to Long Valley, New Jersey for the Holiday Tournament of Champions invitational on December 6th. Schools from at least six different Zones and 14 different regions will be on hand including host Centenary University, Savannah College of Art & Design, Emory & Henry College, University of Lynchburg, Delaware Valley University, Mount Holyoke College and 2025 IHSA reserve national champion Sacred Heart University. Skidmore and these other seven schools were among the top ten hunter seat teams at 2025 IHSA Nationals.
