Three-Way-Tie "Tiebreaker" Explanation: The first step in breaking the three
way tie was number of first place ribbons. The University of Alabama had no first
places ribbons. Vanderbilt University and Louisiana State University each had a
first which moved University of Alabama to fourth. The tie between Louisiana State
and Vanderbilt was broken on the number of second place ribbons. Louisiana State
had two seconds. Vanderbilt had one second which moved Louisiana State into
reserve champion and Vanderbilt into third place.
(Special thanks Kimberly Storey for her help in gathering these results and for
the Tiebreaker explanation - Editor)
